Are you taking advantage of this growing new market to sell your art?

With just a few clicks, you can upload digital images of your art or photography, set your own prices, and sell your art to a global audience of online art buyers. Some online are sellers such as Fine Art America handle all of the fulfillment. They take care of the printing, framing, matting, packaging, shipping, collecting payments from the buyer, and when a print of yours sells, they send you a royalty check.  Other Online art sellers such as Saatchi Art take care of all fulfillment except packaging the art for the shipper to pick up.

Garry McMichael has been selling art prints and photographs through Fine Art America since 2012 and his paintings through Saatchi Art since 2014.  Over that time, he has built a steady income of monthly art sales.  These sales have been to almost every state in the Union and from half way around the world in Australia and the United Kingdom.  Located in St Louis, Missouri these are markets and locations Garry could never have reached through art galleries. 

In this half-day workshop Garry will explain how to set up an your own account to sell your art online, how to prep and upload images, set your prices and develop a marketing plan to increase your exposure and sales. Based on careful research Garry will share with you what sells and what doesn’t, pricing strategies and compare his experiences selling art on other online markets such as Imagekind, 500px, Etsy and through art galleries. 

This workshop will be geared to both artists wanting to start selling their art online and artists who already have online accounts but are looking to improve their sales. If you want to learn more about turning your art into income, this workshop is for you. This will be a lecture, question/answer type of workshop. Garry will show you step-by-step how to work with Saatchi Art, ArtFinder.com and Fine Art America. 

To make sure everybody gets plenty of personal attention, the workshop will be limited to 15 participants.

THE WORKSHOP WILL COVER:

• Learn how to sell prints of your art and photography as canvas prints, framed prints, metal prints, acrylic prints, posters and much more. 

• Learn how to sell "Original" paintings and other artwork. 
 
• Compare different online art markets such as Imagekind, 500px, Etsy, Saatchi Art, Ugallery, Artful Home and Xanadu Gallery.
 
• Explain research of what subjects sell best, and compare art print sales versus photography. 

• Use FAA social media apps to automatically post announcements for you on Facebook and Twitter each time you upload new images to Fine Art America and other online galleries.

• Create Galleries and join Groups to promote niche areas of your portfolio.
 
• Embed a FAA Shopping cart into your website. 
 
• License your artwork for use in advertising and print media.
  
• Advertise your upcoming events and press releases in FAA’s newsletter.
